Signal Sleuths: Uncovering Radio Frequency Interference

622 to 642 MHz

Another common signal ranges from 622 to 642 MHz. This signal could be coming from radio frequency devices, which include most electronics and electrical products. It might also be caused by wireless communication, where devices talk to each other without using wires. The signal could also be from a low-power TV (LPTV) station, which sends out information and entertainment to a local community. Another possibility is that the signal is from a TV translator or booster. TV translators pick up a TV signal at one frequency and broadcast it at a different frequency so people in distant areas can watch it. While a TV booster broadcasts at the same frequency as the original signal.
